After leaving her job as a mental health nurse, cycling started off as a way to cope during a difficult time and quickly became a much bigger part of Amy’s life. After battling an eating disorder for years, with intrusive thoughts taking their grip, she made it her mission to get better. From cycling 2000km across Italy and France in 8 days, to winning a national silver national medal in the 24-hour time trial and more recently cycling every stage of the Men's Tour de France plus the transfers, covering over 4000 miles in 28 days. Recently Amy has had her book "Finding Happiness Pedal by Pedal" published. Amy is a true inspiration, showing what determination can lead to. Amy’s always got the next challenge on her mind and is currently training with her husband to take on the world record for the fastest couple to cycle around the world.
